Acquired in 2015, the land was entitled as 22 fractional units (84-hotel keys), five full ownership units, and situated below the 1970’s era Lift 1A. The development team navigated the entitlement process that culminated in a successful municipal election that granted new approvals. The new Skiers Chalet Lodge will consist of 27 fractional units (104-hotel keys), six free-market units, multiple food and beverage outlets, spa and fitness center, multiple rooftop pools, and a new telemix lift that will sit just below the property offering ski-in/ski-out access at the base of Aspen Mountain.

Other components of this master-planned development include restoring and reopening the Historic Skiers Chalet Steakhouse as a restaurant, refurbishing and gifting to the Aspen Historical Society the Historic Skiers Chalet building that will become home to the Aspen Ski History Museum and provide space for Aspen Skiing Company ticketing, services, and patrol use, and creating a new park space that is more than two acres. Below the site will feature a garage for both public and lodge parking, public ski lockers, and bike storage.
